Video package of last week’s GFW Amped is shown as it shows Ricky Steamboat Jr. winning the GFW World Heavyweight Championship. Ricky Steamboat Jr. celebrating in the ring is shown as GFW Amped is back live and Mike Rome and Tom Phillips could be seen at ringside.
Tom: Last week, GFW crowned it’s very first champion, Rocky Steamboat Jr. made his dreams come true and became the first ever GFW World Heavyweight Champion.
Mike: In an incredible match, Ricky Steamboat Jr. battled three other man and made the pin to be the new GFW Worlds Champion and I heard we are going to have a little celebration out here from the champion.
Tom: Can’t wait to see what Ricky Steamboat Jr. is going to be like as the face of the company.
Ricky’s theme plays throughout the arena as the crowd are on their feet and cheering him on, as Ricky makes his way out from backstage and stands at the top of the ramp and raises the GFW World Heavyweight Championship in the air as the crowd cheers him on and Ricky places the championship over his shoulder and he makes his way down, greeting the crowd, slapping a few hands from the crowd members, as he makes his way into the ring, microphone in hand as he stands in the middle of the ring, emotional as he addresses the crowd.
Ricky: Last week I made a dream that seemed impossible come true. For years, growing up, I saw my dad leave, I saw him in the ring, battling and having that dream of becoming world champion and he loved this business so much, but he never had that chance, never had that honor of becoming World Champion.
Ricky: Yet here I am, a new generation, the future, years later and I can call myself the GWF Worlds Heavyweight champion.
Ricky: The first thing I did, after I celebrated with the crowd, when I got backstage, was call my father, and thank and I told him, Dad, this was for you. I can’t help but feel like I’ve made him the proudest dad in the world right now.
Ricky: But I also wanted to take this chance to thank you guys. This was a dream come true for me, and you guys have been supporting me from the moment I stepped foot in the GFW ring. So thank you guys so much, from the bottom of my heart and I promise to defend this championship with every inch of my heart, any challenger and my next match will be at GFW Resurrection. I don’t know who my opponent will be, but he’s going to have to kill me to get this championship off of me.
Once Ricky was done. “eee Liii Drake” could be heard as his theme songs plays through the Arena as Eli Drake makes his way out, microphone in hand, giving Ricky a sympathetic clap, for what he just said, as Eli raises the microphone and speaks while he makes his way down to the ring.
Eli: Beautiful words Ricky J, nice words, but the ones that stood out more, to me… eee liii drake is of course the part of you saying you didn’t know who your next opponent was going to be. Because after last week, I’m pretty sure it’s clear who you’re next opponent is going to be.
Eli: Last week, one person was pinned, that person wasn’t Eli Drake, so the way I see it, I should be the next person taking you on for the GFW World Heavyweight Championship. So what do you say Ricky, how about we end you’re little fairy tale and begin the Era of Eeee Liiii Drake!!
Ricky: As a wrestler Eli, I truly respect you and if you want to take me on for the championship. I’m more than willing to make that happen. But didn’t you have your shot last week, you lost just like all the other guys last week. Shouldn’t it be fair to give someone else a shot?
Eli: What happened to anyone kid? I could understand when the idea of facing Eli Drake scares you, that you fear losing your championship to Eli Drake. But unlike them, I deserve my own one on one shot for the GFW World Heavyweight Championship.
Before either men can speak, Karen Jarrett’s theme plays and Karen, furious, makes her way down to the ring, microphone is hand, as both men await her arrival, as she enters the ring. Karen takes a deep breath before she spoke.
Karen: Ricky, let me once congratulate you on your win, I remember telling you, you are the future of the company, I couldn’t have been prouder to call you the GFW World Heavyweight champion. You’re going to be a great champion, just leave the match making to me.
Karen: That brings me back to you, Eli Drake, for the second time you are undermining my authority. Two weeks ago, you felt you should be GFW World Heavyweight Champion and you had your shot and failed. Now you come out here, making matches for a championship match?
Karen: Let me remind you of something Eli, I run this show, I’m the general Manager and I’m the one who makes the matches around here, so don’t you dare undermine my authority again.
Karen: But you’re right. Fair enough, you weren’t pinned last week, it’s fair to say, you technically didn’t lose that match. So maybe you should get another shot. But like most people here in the GFW, you’re going to have to earn it.
Karen: But, you’re not the only person who didn’t get pinned, because it was a fatal 4 way match after all, because from what I saw, Jack Swagger was not pinned either. So that’s why, we’ll have a number 1 contenders match in our main event. Eli Drake will battle Jack Swagger. The winner of this match will take on Ricky Steamboat Jr. at Resurrection.
Karen: So now that is set, could you two do me the favor of getting out of MY Ring, we’ve got a nice show for the fans tonight.
Karen signals for the boys to exit the ring, as Eli is furious and makes his way up the ramp, while Ricky nods, loving the decision Karen made for his next challenger for the GFW Worlds Championship as GFW Amped goes to commercial break.
