Cue the lights, cue the video package, and cue the pyro! We are live for another episode of RoH TV as Shinedown’s Devour blares through the opening video.
Ranallo: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to RoH TV! Mauro Ranallo here, joined as always by my broadcast partner Corey Graves! Nigel McGuinness is again not here tonight. We are live in the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia Pennsylvania!
Graves: We have a big night tonight Mauro! Finn Balor finally gets his hands on Mike Bennett tonight in our main event, but that’s not all!
Ranallo: That’s right Corey! As reported earlier today on RoH.com, Eric Bischoff has announced a 4-Way Elimination Tag Team match for All-Star Extravaganza Night #1, with the winning team facing The Young Bucks for the RoH Tag Team Championship later on in the broadcast!
Graves: We’ll have two qualifying matches tonight and the final qualifier next week! War Machine have secured the first spot in the match after signing with RoH, they’ll debut in the match! We have even more major breaking news, as reports say The Hardyz are apparently here tonight and will be taking place in one of the qualifying matches as well! Speaking off being here tonight, I’m sure Bobby Roode has something to say about what Dean Ambrose did to him to close the show last week! To think, these two are supposed to work as a team in less than 2 weeks!
Lunatic Fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
I can hear you comin'
I know what you’re after
We're wise to you this time
(Wise to you this time)
We won't let you kill the laughter
Ooooh, Yeeaah
Ooooh, Yeeaah
Ambrose: Ring of Honor eh? Well hey, how’s it going? When Shane McMahon told me I’d been traded to Ring of Honor I thought he was joking, but really I couldn’t have cared any less about where I ended up, because I’m here to fight! So next Saturday, I team up with Triple H and Bobby Roode as a part of Team Glorious. Speaking of Glorious, what kind of name is Team Glorious anways? Pretty dumb name for an All-Star team if you ask me, I think Team Lunatic sounds way better! The crowd cheers in agreement. Alright then, how about we make it official huh? Team Glorious is now going to be referred to as Team Lunatic!
GLORIOUS!
NO I WON’T GIVE IN, I WON’T GIVE IN
‘TILL I’M VICTORIOUS
AND I WILL DEFEND, I WILL DEFEND!
Bobby Roode heads down to the ring rather quickly, and he does not look happy at all.
Roode: Who the hell do you think you are? You’ve been here for a whole week, and you think you can come in here and start calling the shots in MY ring? On top of all that you assaulted me last week, and I’ve filed a formal complaint to RoH and Eric Bischoff asking you be removed not only from Team Glorious but from Ring of Honor as well for that blatantly unprovoked assault! You can’t come out here and just rename my team!
Ambrose: Well I didn’t, the Ring of Honor fans did, because Team Glorious is a stupid name, and how can we trust a leader who would think of such a stupid team name in the first place? Come to think of it, I think you should be out as the team leader and I’ll take your place! Let’s ask the RoH crowd, Do you guys think I should be the leader of Team Lunatic? The crowd cheers again. Well, there you have it!
Roode: You can’t do that! This is my team! I’m the leader! You can’t come walking in here and thinking you run the place now because so fat slops sitting in the stands agree with you! These people came here to see me! They paid good money to see me! You haven’t even had a match here yet, why would anyone even care about what you have to say?
Ambrose: You’re right, I haven’t had a match yet. So that would make me 0-0 here at Ring of Honor. Didn’t you lose your first two matches here? And a battle royal, don’t forget about that battle royal! That would make you 0-3!
The crowd cheers, but Bobby Roode doesn’t find that funny at all.
Roode: Yeah, well, I’m undefeated in the month of July! I’ve ended the careers of TWO RoH superstars this month, Okada and the idiot Greg Roberts! You better watch out Ambrose, because you’re replaceable on my team, I’ll end your career next!
Ambrose: End my career? Ha! You know, there are a couple things in the world I’m afraid of. Spiders, identical twins, cotton balls, but I’m definitely not afraid of a guy who is 0-3!
Roode: I’M UNDEFEATED IN JULY GOD DAMMIT!
Ambrose: Alright, alright my mistake, 2-3. You know that makes you a more impressive, but still a loser!
Roode’s face is pure red, he steps towards Dean Ambrose and begins to remove his jacket. Ambrose put his fists up, ready to slug it out with Bobby Roode at any second, when suddenly James Ellsworth appears on the jumbotron.
Ellsworth: Guys! Guys! We are not going to have this happen! Not like this! The crowd boo’s. Eric Bischoff is not in the area tonight, and I have been left fully in charge, so I demand that you both separate from each other right now! You two clearly have a problem with each other, but like it or not you two are going to be teammates next Saturday! I will however, let you two settle your differences before then though, because tonight we have a second main event, Bobby Roode vs. Dean Ambrose! And you know what else? Ummm, the winner of that match, well the winner gets to be team captain!
Ellsworth gives a Mick Foley esq thumbs up to the cheering crowd as he fades off the jumbotron. Roode however is beside himself, yelling and screaming at Ellsworth’s announcement. Roode turns around to voice his anger towards Ambrose, but instead is planted with a Dirty Deeds from Dean Ambrose who then heads to the back to get ready for their match tonight as we fade out to our first commercial break of the evening.

Matt Sydal & Ricochet vs. Hot and Spicy
Fatal 4-Way Qualifier
Hot and Spicy consists of German superstars Axel Dieter, Jr. and Da Mack, a young highflying tag team that matches their styles perfectly with their opponents Ricochet and Matt Sydal. Not much here to report in terms of momentum shifting or any crazy near falls. The match was exactly what it was designed to be, which is to get Ricochet and Matt Sydal over after having them lose so many matches last month. It did the trick. Sydal wins it for his team with a Shooting Sydal Press for the 1,2,3.
Winners: Ricochet and Matt Sydal by pinfall
{Eerie music begins to play over the arena loudspeakers, an image then appears on the jumbotron of a showdy figure walking in a dark abandoned building.
Voice: The day of reckoning is soon approaching. Your lives as you know it will change completely…
{The camera zooms in to his feet as every step on the cold concrete floor is amplified.}
Voice: I was known as what they wanted me to be, as what they told me to be, but no more!
{The shadowy figure reaches the end of the hallway where a small bit of light can be seen peering through the door ahead. The light doesn’t reveal much of this person, other than the fact that they are wearing a suit.}
Voice: Brace yourselves, your nightmare is coming…
{COMING SOON}
Tommy Dreamer vs. Marty Scurll
Non-Title Match
Ranallo and Graves inform the audience at home that this match was made at the request of Tommy Dreamer. Tommy Dreamer gets some early offense in, but is far too slow to keep up the momentum against the much younger TV Champ, Scurll. Marty Scurll find himself in control after the midway point of the match, and carries that momentum all the way to the end, dishing out as much punishment as he can on Dreamer, trying to keep him from being able to compete next Saturday. After toying with Dreamer for a bit, Scurll locks in the Crossface Chickenwing, and Dreamer taps out almost instantly.
Scurll doesn’t release the hold right away though, holding on for a few seconds longer after the bell rings. Eventually, the referee is able to convince Scurll to release the hold, but Marty doesn’t seem to be finished quite yet. Scurll motions up to the entrance ramp, and out from the back come the Guerrillas of Destiny. As the G.O.D.s slowly make their way down the ramp, they are attacked from behind by Roderick Strong, who comes charging out from behind the curtain and takes them both down with a crossbody from behind. The G.O.D.s are rather quick to get to their feet though, but Strong didn’t come unprepared, brandishing kendo sticks in both of his hands. Strong beats on Tama and Tanga until they have no choice but to retreat through the crowd. Turning his attention to Scurll now, Roddy begins to make his way down to the ring as Scurll looks panicked. As Strong enters the ring, Scurll goes to leave, but his path is blocked by Tommy Dreamer! Strong tosses Dreamer one of the slightly used kendo sticks, as the two takes turns hitting Marty Scurll with them. After fully breaking both kendo sticks on the side and back of Marty Scurll, Dreamer send him in to Roderick Strong, who plants him down to the ground with the Death by Roderick.
Strong and Dreamer stand tall, winning this battle over the Bullet Club and holding all the momentum as we head in to next week’s tag match.
Winner: Marty Scurll by submission.

We return from commercial to be immediately sent backstage, where Colt Cabana is standing by awaiting his que.
Colt Cabana: Ladies and gentlemen of Ring of Honor, it’s time to get the inside scoop with Colt Cabana! My guests at this time, Matt and Jeff, The Hardyz!
The camera pans back slightly to see Matt and Jeff Hardy standing beside Cabana. You can hear the roar of the crowd watching from inside the area as Team Extreme appear on camera.
Colt Cabana: Guys, up next you get another crack at getting the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships, when you take on The Kings of Wrestling in a Fatal 4-Way qualifying match for All-Star Extravaganza. The Kings are coming off a loss last week to Triple H and Seth Rollins while you two haven’t been in action since your crazy match with The Young Bucks at Death Before Dishonor. How are you two feeling heading in to this match, and what have you done to prepare for Cesaro and Chris Hero?
Matt: Colt Cabana! It’s been such a long time since I’ve last seen you, it is just so WONDERFUL to see you again! Those Wrestling Kings, ha! Cesaro and the man who refers to himself as a Hero have no idea what they are going to see tonight! Brother Nero is still a little sore from his ladder stunt, but I’ve told him many times, that’s what you get for being a spot monkey! Tonight, we official declare that we are starting our EXPEDITION OF GOLD! We will defeat the Wrestling Kings, The Machines of War and whomever wins next week’s match, be it The Dudley Boyz, or the Day of New! We will DELETE them, and then we will go on later that night and we will DELETE The Bucks of Youth to claim our long awaited Ring of Honor Championships, it will be DELIGHTFUL! We will not stop there though, NOOOO, you see, while we were at home recovering, I had a PREMONEEESHOOON! I saw myself, The Broken One and my Brother Nero! We were the GFW Tag Team Champions! We went to NWA and the promotion opened back up just so we could become their tag team champions! After that we went to see Mr. MEEEKMAHON and beat those Wolfes from America to become the WWF Tag team Champions before finally going to the son of MEEEKMAHON to beat Edge and Christian for the WCW Tag Team Championships! You see Colt Cabana, the Expedition of Gold doesn’t start and end here in Ring of Honor, it goes all over the world! HA HA HA!
Just then, Matt and Jeff hear their music playing from the loudspeaker meaning it is time for their match.
Matt: WONDERFUL! YESSS! We must go now Brother Nero, it’s was DELIGHTFUL to see you again Colt Cabana, I hope to see you again someday!
The Broken Hardyz vs. The Kings of Wrestling
Fatal 4-Way Qualifier
The Hardyz are out first, and attacked at the entrance ramp by The Kings of Wrestling! Cesaro and Chris Hero lay to boots to the bodies of Matt and Jeff Hardy as the crowd pours down a chorus of boos. Hero picks up Matt Hardy and tosses him head first in to the stage, causing some of the LED lights to explode in Hardy’s face. Jeff struggles to fight back against the Cesaro, but is over powered when Chris Hero runs in and attacks Jeff as well. Hero tosses Jeff in to Cesaro who levels him with a huge European uppercut! With Jeff now down as well, The Kings turn their attention back over to Matt Hardy. Cesaro makes sure Hardy doesn’t move by continuing to beat and stomp on him while Hero begins to strip the announce table. Cesaro then tosses Matt up to the announce table, where Hero hold him down, allowing Cesaro time to climb up as well. As Cesaro is climbing the table, Jeff Hardy runs over at attacks Cesaro, trying desperately to save his brother, but Cesaro over powers Jeff, and tosses him head first in to the entrance stage as well. With Jeff down again, Cesaro climbs up on top of the announce table, and the Kings of Wrestling put Matt Hardy through the table with the KRS ONE – Kings Reign Supreme Over Nearly Everyone. With Matt now completely out of the picture, The Kings focus their attention back over to Jeff Hardy, who is struggling to get up to his feet. Hero gets Cesaro’s attention and points to the edge of the stage, and Cesaro nods in agreement, dragging Hardy over to the corner of the stage. Cesaro pulls Jeff to his feet, and Jeff tries frantically to fight back, but it is no use as he is easily over powered by Cesaro and Hero before the hit the KRS TWO – Kings Reign Supreme The World Over ending with a double powerbomb that sends Hardy crashing down off the stage through a number of prop tables below. At this moment RoH officials have finally rushed to the scene to aid the now literally Broken Hardyz, as Cesaro and Hero celebrate their cheap attack at the top of the ramp. There will be no match tonight, and there is no clear decision on what that means for this qualifier either.
Winners: No Contest.

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR
We return from the commercial break to the thunderous roar of Braun Strowman’s entrance music. Strowman makes his was down to the ring looking as serious as ever as he awaits the challenger James Ellsworth has picked for him tonight. Once in the ring, Strowman grabs a microphone from the ringside area.
Strowman: Last week, I demanded that James Ellsworth finds me some real competition! Well the clock is ticking Ellsworth! I want my opponent, and I want him NOW!
Silence falls over the arena for what fears like an eternity but is probably only mere moments, eventually…
WHO’S THAT JUMPING OUT THE SKY
R-E-Y MYSTERIO, HERE WE GO
The music of Rey Mysterio hits, causing the crowd to go crazy as he makes his way down to the ring for the first time since being acquired in last weekend’s expansion draft trade with WWF. Mysterio hypes up the crowd while making his way down the entrance ramp as Strowman just looks on menacingly.
Braun Strowman vs. Rey Mysterio
Mysterio slides in to the ring and is quickly attacked by Braun Strowman as the referee rings the bell. Strowman grabs Mysterio by the head and pull him up to his feet, before tossing him in to the corner. Strowman then charges at the corner, but Mysterio is able to put his feet up, causing Strowman to stagger back. Mysterio quickly hops up to the top rope, and launches himself towards Strowman with a crossbody, but Strowman catches Mysterio in mid-air, and plants him with a Running Powerslam.
The referee begins the count, but Strowman break his pin attempt at 2, deciding he hasn’t inflicted enough punishment on his opponent. Strowman pick Mysterio up again, and plants him with a second Running Powerslam.
Again Strowman breaks up the pinfall attempt as he pulls Rey to his feet by his mask, and picks him up for a triangle choke. Rey, who is already unconscious from two Running Powerslams, can’t even muster the strength to tap out, as Strowman hold the choke until Rey’s body goes completely limp and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Braun Strowman by submission.
After the referee rings the bell, Strowman drops Mysterio’s lifeless body down on the mat and demands to be giving a microphone again.
Strowman: ELLSWORTH! I told you I wanted competition, not a midget in a mask! I just beat him in less than 2 minutes! I WANT COMPETITION, AND I WANT IT NOW!
Instead of more competition, out from the back comes Ring of Honor General Manager. Knowing better then to get in the ring with someone with the size and temper of Strowman, Ellsworth elects to stay at the top of the entrance ramp.
Ellsworth: Braun, uh….Hi buddy! Listen, you said you wanted competition, and I gave you the best competition I could find in Rey Mysterio! Braun, I had to trade our pick in the NWA expansion draft! Braun, I traded away Hulk Hogan so that I could get you someone like Rey, a guy that to me, is the definition of real competition! Rey Mysterio is a multi-time champion, he’s a household name! A guy who is known all over the world Braun! When I offered Hulk Hogan to Vince McMahon for Rey Mysterio, he had to really hold back tears knowing he had to give up a guy as great as Rey Mysterio! What the heck else can I give you Braun?
Strowman: I told you I wanted real competition or else!
Ellsworth: Okay, okay, wait a minute! Ummmm how about this? What if, uh what if I let you pick your next opponent? It can be anyone in the world Braun! I’ll trade anyone that I have to just to get him for you, how about that? Sounds good right buddy? Anyone in the world Braun, just name it and he’ll be your opponent at All-Star Extravaganza!
Strowman: Alright Ellsworth, I get to pick my opponent for All-Star Extravaganza? I CHOOSE YOU!
The crowd roars, Ellsworth’s jaw drops to the floor in shock! At this moment, Team Tremendous coming running out from the back and stand at either side of Ellsworth, motioning to Strowman that there is no way that can happen. Ellsworth looks at Dan Barry, then over to Bill Carr before proceeding.
Ellsworth: ME? Well, umm how about this? At All-Star Extravaganza you will face Team Tremendous in a handicap match! If you beat them, which you won’t because they are one of the best teams around! I am so certain you won’t beat them, that if you beat do, you can face me the following night at All-Star Extravaganza Night #2!
Strowman: YOU’RE ON!
With that, Ellsworth heads to the back quickly, being followed by Team Tremendous who are obviously trying to talk their way out of this situation.

Mike Bennett w/ Maria vs. Finn Balor
The normally calm and passive Finn Balor is out for vengeance in this match, finally being able to get his hands on Mike Bennett for the first time since Bennett interfered in the RoH World Heavyweight title match nearly 3 weeks ago. Channeling his inner Demon (though not dressed as such) Balor starts the match at a hard hitting pace, chasing Bennett around the ring with a serious of sharp leg kicks, until Bennett finally has enough and rolls out of the ring to stop the attack. Balor doesn’t want to settle down though, and charges towards the ropes to launch himself at Bennett, but Maria stands in front of her husband, causing Balor to have to stop dead in his tracks. Balor elects to roll out of the ring after Mike Bennett, but that gives Bennett the opportunity to jump Balor and get the advantage. The battle continues outside of the ring for a little while, with both superstars using just about anything they can to inflict damage without getting disqualified. The match heads back in to the ring as Mike Bennett uses a distraction by Mari to poke Balor in the eye, and send him crashing in to the ring post before rolling him in to the ring for a 2 count. Bennett soon takes control of the match for the next chunk of the contest, scoring multiple near falls on the resilient Finn Balor. As Bennett goes for his Miracle in Progress, Balor is able duck out and counter it with his 1916, but Bennett kicks up at 2.
Balor then turns the match in to a technical bout, applying chinlocks, headlocks and multiple suplex variations over the course of the match, trying to drain as much energy from Bennett as possible. At one point in the match, Maria gets herself up on the apron to distract Balor, which succeeds momentarily, as Balor’s paying attention to Maria allows Mike Bennett to attack Balor from behind, rolling him up and grabbing the tights, but the referee catching Bennett cheating and breaks the count. Enraged, Bennett begins to argue with the referee over the validity of his pin, this allows Balor to send Bennett in to the corner, where Balor lands a running double dropkick to the chest of Bennett. With Bennett now down on the mat, Balor climbs up to the top rope, and hits the Coup de Grace.
Balor cover Bennett for the pin.
1……………………..
2………………………….
Maria pulls the referee out of the ring! Balor can’t believe what just happened, and begins to shout for the referee’s attention so he can cover Bennett again, but the referee is too busy dealing with Maria, and sends her to the back much to the enjoyment of the crowd. While this is going on, Mike Bennett hits a low blow on Finn Balor, and spins him around of the Miracle in Progress for the 1,23!
Maria runs down the ramp and slides back in to the ring, pushing the referee out of the way to celebrate her husband’s big win. Bennett motions over to the ring announcer to bring him a microphone.
Bennett: Did you all see that! I just beat the number one contender to the RoH World Heavyweight Championship! I just beat Finn Balor, and yet I still don’t have a match at All-Star Extravaganza! This is exactly what I’ve been talking about for the past few weeks, I am one of the best superstars in this company, and yet I am constantly looked over at every opportunity! After my win tonight, I DEMAND that be added to the RoH World Heavyweight Championship match! I DEMAND a match at All-Star Extravaganza! I DEMAND…..
Just then, Maria screams and runs out of the ring. Bennett turns around to see what just happened and is leveled with the Hitstick by Moose!
Moose stands over Bennett for a moment before picking up the microphone Bennett dropped on impact.
Moose: You said you don’t have a match at All-Star Extravaganza, well I’ve got news for you Bennett. You do have a match, against me!
Winner: Mike Bennett by pinfall.
**COMMERCIAL**
Dean Ambrose vs. Bobby Roode
Winner is Team Captain of their All-Star Team
If Balor and Bennett didn’t bring down the house 10 minutes ago, this would have been the match of the night! Ambrose and Roode work a perfect style together with Roode’s aggressive demeanor, and Ambrose’s fight or die attitude making for a PPV quality main event! Roode brings the pain to Ambrose, but Dean continues to get up and fight with everything he’s got as both men take each other to limit over the entirety of this 15 minute main event. The finish comes when Dean Ambrose goes for the Dirty Deeds, but Bobby Roode counters it in to a Glorious DDT for the 1,2,3!
Winner: Bobby Roode by pinfall.
After the match, a visibly exhausted Bobby Roode grabs a microphone.
Roode: As if there was any doubt, ha ha! Your winner, and the captain of TEAM GLORIOUS, BOBBY ROO….
Roode is cut off by Ambrose who plants him down with the Dirty Deeds, getting a major pop out of the crowd. For the second straight week, RoH TV comes to a close with Dean Ambrose standing over the body of Bobby Roode.
**END OF THE SHOW**
