RoH News: Pre Honor Rumble Edition!
February 3rd, 2018: RoH Insider
- With the 30-Man Honor Rumble just mere days away, reports backstage is that RoH has already decided who the winner will be, but are yet to inform that superstar as they appear to be waiting until the last moment to keep the suspense in the locker room throughout the event.
- RoH have called some of their roster in to private meetings over the past week to inform them that even though their names may currently be on the Rumble's entry sheet, they are only there to stop surprise entrants from leaking out too early as RoH plans for quite a few surprises in their first ever Rumble.
- There is no additional information about Rumble entry order, though RoH Insider can confirm that Mike Bennett will be entering the Rumble at #1. With the push Mike Bennett has been receiving lately, Bennett has as much of a chance at winning the Rumble at entry #1 as he does with entry #30.
- Look for some of RoH's newest signees to make their debuts in the Rumble.
- There are rumors circulating that Nigel McGuinness will be making a major announcement at the first episode of RoH TV after the Honor Rumble. There as been speculation that RoH could be completely rebranding with names such as ECW and NXT currently floating around as potential options for a company that is looking to return to weekly television with a major impact.
- Many fans have noticed that RoH owner Eric Bischoff has been off television since August. The reason for this seems to be how well Nigel McGuinness has worked in the authority figure role, especially since his heel turn. It was rumored that Eric Bischoff was originally supposed to return to television as the heel authority figure, which would have kept James Ellsworth as RoH GM and created an unlikely alliance between McGuinness and Ellsworth against an Authority type stable lead by the RoH owner. After seeing how well McGuinness has gotten over with the RoH crowd, the decision was made to turn Nigel heel instead and align him with War Machine. Though Nigel has been a great heel to this point, the War Machine alliance was scrapped rather quickly.
- Two major superstars look to be among the list of wrestler's RoH plans to leave available for the Superstar Shakeup. Both Bobby Roode and Kane are not currently penciled in any of RoH's future plans from now until Best in the World which leads many to believe RoH may already working under the pretense that neither star will be with the company following May's Superstar shakeup.
- Look for one of the superstars suspended by Nigel McGuinness to make their return to RoH during the Honor Rumble. Braun Strowman appears to be the superstar most likely to return as Brock Lesnar has been increasing frustrated with the way he has been booked in RoH and may have requested to be let go from his contract.
