Lead Up:
- Mike Bennett continues his winning ways in the weeks following Manhattan Mayhem, carrying a ton of momentum in to his World Heavyweight Championship match. Nakamura shocked the RoH audience by returning early as he wasn't scheduled to appear until the PPV itself. Following interference by Maria Kanellis, Mike Bennett was able to defeat Shinsuke Nakamura in a non-title match with the stipulation being Maria would be banned from ringside had he lost the match. Riding a huge win streak including a cheap victory over the current champion, Bennett is coming in to this match hot, but it was Nakamura who had the last laugh before the PPV. With Bennett trying to sneak attack Nakamura at the contract signing, Nakamura came out on top, and Mike Bennett caught a knee to the face for his troubles.
- With the Dirty Heels now long behind them, and coming off a major victory over War Machine, Seth Rollins has once again set his sights on getting revenge on Triple H and the Kings of Wrestling. With The Game nowhere to be seen since revealing he was the man who orchestrated the attack, Rollins focuses his anger on the current Tag Team Champions the Kings of Wrestling. With the numbers now even thanks to Rollins and Ambrose's reunion, could the Kings be in danger of losing the tag titles they've defended already on so many occasions?
- Needing help from Ezekiel Jackson to successfully defends his title the first time, Moose has been unable to escape from Tommy End's desire to have a second shot at the Television Championship. After successfully defeating both Ezekiel Jackson and Titus O'Neil in a handicap match with help from The Dudley Boyz (more on this below), End not only won himself a second opportunity at the title, but forced The Alliance to be banned from ringside as well.
- Being named "The Final Encounter" between one of RoH's most heated rivalries of late, there was no place more fitting to have this match than at Final Battle. For weeks Kane would appear on the screens before, during and after Finn Balor's matches pleading to see the Demon King, a version of Finn Balor that has yet to been seen in RoH. 4 days before the PPV, at RoH TV, Finn Balor's Demon King persona made his debut at the end of Kane's match and challenged the Big Red Machine to a Demon vs. Demon match at Final Battle to settle their feud once and for all. An announcement later on in the night by commissioner Nigel McGuinness informed us that this will be a Last Man Standing Match.
- Titus O'Neil's "The Alliance" has had quite a successful run since officially forming a few months ago, but Titus is still looking to build on the movement by adding to his stable. After unsuccessfully trying to recruit the New Day, Titus has shifted his focus towards D-Von Dudley. His efforts so far have done nothing but start a rather heated rivalry between The Dudley Boyz and The Alliance.
- With The Bullet Club seemingly on everyone's radar as of late, a friendly rivalry has occurred between The Rhodes Dynasty and The New Day after so many matches together against The Young Bucks. Taking a step back from their feuds with The Bullet Club (most of which are in New Japan finishing off touring commitments) the two teams have shifted their focus on which team is actually better. With each tag team sharing 1 win against each other, a match was made for Final Battle to see who the best team really is. Added incentive was given as Nigel McGuinness has made this a number one contendership match for the Tag Team Championships at the next PPV.
- With Cody Rhodes not focused on him for once, and most of his Bullet Club teammates off in Japan, Kenny Omega has decided to grace the RoH Universe with a PPV singles match appearance for the first time since debuting in RoH. With Roderick Strong still firmly in a feud with Bullet Club member Will Ospreay, Omega chose him for the match as Omega feels Strong is an "easy warm up" to what is an inevitable clash between Omega and Cody Rhodes down the line.
RoH Presents: Final Battle

Date: Saturday, December 30th, 2017
Announcers: Mauro Ranallo & Corey Graves
New Day def. The Rhodes Dynasty by pinfall.

RoH World Television Championship:
Moose (c) def. Tommy End by pinfall.
A hard hitting and extremely entertaining contest between two superstars who showed tonight they they could be be a major part of RoH's future if they ever break out of the midcard scene. After months of dirty tactics, Moose scores his first clean victory since joining The Alliance to retain his championship.
(We head backstage where Dean Ambrose is being attacked by the King's of Wrestling. Rollins rushes to the scene for a save, but it's too late as the damage has already been done. It appears tonight's tag team match is now in jeopardy.)
Kenny Omega def. Roderick Strong by pinfall.
The Dudley Boyz vs. The Alliance ends in a No-Contest.
The Dudley Boyz look to be clear winners in the match, until Bubba tells D-Von to "Get the Tables!" Instead of getting a table, D-Von levels his half-brother and longtime tag team partner with a Saving Grace Neckbreaker. After a 3-1 beat down of Bubba Ray, D-Von leaves with The Alliance, signalling the end of The Dudley Boyz, and D-Von's official joining of The Alliance.
RoH World Tag Team Championship Match:
The Kings of Wrestling (c) def. Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose by pinfall.
Advertised as a tag team match, it is announced that Dean Ambrose can't compete tonight, but Seth chooses to go out there alone anyways. Rollins does a great job fending for himself, but the numbers game becomes too much and The Kings of Wrestling end up retaining their tag team titles.
RoH World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Shinsuke Nakamura (c) def. Mike Bennett by pinfall.
Mike Bennett has be named by many the "Future Star of RoH" and that was proven tonight. Bennett may not have been able to come out victorious, but Bennett proved to be quite the challenger to Nakamura in this match. A second meeting between these two superstars down the road is almost a given. Post match, Nakamura and Bennett shake hands, showing respect to each other after such a hard fought match. That scene soon turns though as Bennett lays out Nakamura before leaving.
Last Man Standing Match:
Finn Balor def. Kane
This was the Main event for a reason! Both men did everything they could to pretty much kill each other throughout the duration of this match. The finish came when Balor hit the Coup de Grace off a ladder, through the announce table on Kane, rendering him unable to answer the referee's 10 count.
