September 2017 – Quick Results (September 7th – 30th):
Who Holds The Gold? Career vs. Championship?
Summary: Brock Lesnar is the odds on favourite heading in to RoH: Unauthorized after he picked apart the RoH Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in their first encounter back at War of the Worlds: UK. Will the Champion survive as the ultimate underdog? Or will the Beast Incarnate easily walk out of the arena with his first RoH World Heavyweight Championship reign?
Ambrose/Rollins Alliance Gaining Ground? Unlikely.
Summary: With Triple H still missing from television and the Kings of Wrestling having a new set of challengers to deal with in Kane and Finn Balor, Seth Rollins has turned his focus solely on assisting Dean Ambrose against The Dirty Heels (Bobby Roode & Austin Aries) much to the dismay of Ambrose.
September 13th - RoH TV: Rollins took on Bobby Roode in the main event in a match that ended in a no contest after Austin Aries got involved. The two men beat down on Rollins for quite a while before Dean Ambrose finally decides to come running down to the ring, chair in hand to make a late save. Ambrose and Rollins have an exchange of looks before Ambrose leaves the ring.
September 20th – RoH TV: Nigel McGuinness announces that Dean Ambrose and Bobby Roode will go one-on-one for a second time at the upcoming PPV: Unauthorized. Also announced to the dismay of all four men involved is a main event tag match putting Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins against The Dirty Heels. Ambrose and Rollins with the match, but not without much controversy as both superstars show a clear distain for working together at this stage in their careers.
September 27th – RoH TV: It is announced that Seth Rollins will be taking on Austin Aries at this Sundays RoH: Unauthorized PPV after Rollins accepts a challenge from Aries. Rollins takes on Chris Hero in tonight’s episode, but the match never happens. The Kings of Wrestling hop up on the apron looking to attack Rollins, but it’s just a distraction to allow the Dirty Heels to sneak attack Rollins. Finn Balor and Kane head out to the ring to aid Rollins, but are outnumbered 4-3 until Ambrose heads down to even out the odds. Feeling this is his last opportunity to make a major impression, James Ellsworth changes the main event to a 4-on-4 tag match main event. The good guys get the big win on the go-home episode as Ambrose and Rollins finally start to show some chemistry, working together to but away Austin Aries with a Kingslayer (newly renamed The V-Trigger) in to a Dirty Deeds for the win.
Time for a Change?
Summary: James Ellsworth’s job continues to be under a microscope as RoH thrives under the strong and unintimidated leadership of newly appointed commissioner Nigel McGuinness. With Ellsworth really trying to impress his new boss, but falling short time after time, it is starting to appear more and more likely that Ellsworth’s time as RoH General Manager will be coming to an end at RoH: Unauthorized.
The Kings of Wrestling vs. The “Demons of Wrestling”?
Summary: The unholy alliance between Kane and Finn Balor has created an instantly fan favourite in the tag team division. Dubbed “The Demons of Wrestling” by RoH fans, the team insists they have no official name, and are only focused on ending the short RoH World Tag Team Championship reign of The Kings of Wrestlings’ Chris Hero and Cesaro. With these two teams facing off for the Championships at RoH: Unauthorized, and the Balor-Kane team having the most success of the two, the question must be asked, does RoH have a new unstoppable tag team amongst us?
Triple The Action, Triple the Fun, Triple Threat?
Summary: After aiding Cody Rhodes and Goldust on the September 6th edition of RoH TV, The New Day have made it abundantly clear that they are not done with The Elite although the 3 Bullet Club members are seemingly more focused on The Rhodes brothers than they are the New Day. With things reaching a boiling point between Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes, Omega issues a challenge to have Cody and Goldust team up and face The Young Bucks at RoH: Unauthorized. After initially accepting, Rhodes informs Omega that he has a much better idea and announces the addition of Kofi Kingston & Big E, making the PPV match a triple threat tag team extravaganza!
Roddy’s Bullet Club Woes Continue
Summary: After being cost the RoH Television Championship by a man he thought was his friend, Will Ospreay, Roderick Strong has made it his mission to get even, a mission which has been hard to accomplish with Ospreay constantly hiding behind the Bullet Club’s two big Samoan monsters. With The Bullet Club constantly getting the upper hand and Strong growing increasing frustrated, Roddy challenges Ospreay to a match at RoH: Unauthorized. Ospreay accepts, upping the challenge by telling Strong he will ban all outside interference as long as Strong agrees to put his RoH career on the line if he loses. After a week of thought, Strong accepts the conditions making the match official.
Pete Dunne Gets his Shot at Glory, but will Titus O’Neill Change his Destiny?
Summary: It was already announced the winner of the first ever RoH Best of 7 Series, Pete Dunne would be getting the next shot at Marty Scurll’s RoH Championship, but after the deceitful tactics Titus O’Neill has been using to try and convince Moose to join up with him, Moose has been thrusted right in the middle of the action, really effecting Dunne’s chances of walking out of RoH Unauthorized as the Television Champion. After beating Pete Dunne on September 13th, and beating Scurll on September 20th (both with the unwanted help of Titus O’Neill), Moose was officially added to the title match. With Titus O’Neill’s dastardly tactics looking to be working on Moose, he is clearly the wildcard in this match.
Bennett vs. Cabana II Official!
Summary: After beating Mike Bennett on September 6th disguised as Matt Classic, Mike Bennett has been completely distracted and losing match after match on RoH TV. After being one of hottest commodities in RoH, Bennett’s stalk has seemingly fallen. Knowing he needs to snap out of his recent skid if he ever wants to reach the top of the RoH Mountain, Mike Bennett officially challenged Colt Cabana to a final match between the two of them at RoH: Unauthorized.
