Lucky Cannon ends with a wink and GFW Resurrections starts and Tom Phillips and Mike Rome could be seen, well dressed at ringside for the GFW pay per View.
Tom: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to GFW first ever live pay per view, Resurrection. I’m Tom Phillips and with me tonight is Mike Rome. Tonight we have three championship matches, where two brand new champions will be crowned and of course the GFW World Heavyweight Championship will be defended tonight in our main event.
Mike: That’s right Tom, Ricky Steamboat Jr. will be defending the GFW World Championship for the very first time. Number one contender Eli Drake has been calling Ricky’s win a fluke, could this be a one and done run for Ricky Steamboat Jr.?
Tom: Ricky has overcome so many odds, winning his qualifying match, then winning the fatal 4 way match to become champion. He’s been representing the GWF very well, but that could all come to an end tonight.
Mike: That’s right, Just five days ago, Eli Drake got the best of Ricky when he won the tag team match on Amped, could Eli Drake have a repeat victory and become the brand new GFW World Heavyweight Champion.
Match #1 Jack Swagger vs. Joey Ryan
VS.
“We The People” is heard through the arena as Jack Swagger makes his way out, Jack stands at the top of the ramp, hand over his chest as he looks out at the crowd who cheers him on. Jack smiles as he makes his way down the ramp, Jack enters the ring as he stretches and stands in the ring, awaiting his opponent in the ring, while the crowd awaits the in ring debut of Joey Ryan.
Joey Ryan’s theme plays as Joey makes his way out, mixed reactions from the crowd, as Joey, sunglasses on, his shirt open, comes down the ring, not too worried about his opponent who is standing in the ring waiting for him. Joey, completely chilled and taunting Jack a bit enters the ring, climbs onto the turnbuckle and greets the crowd as he jumps off of it and Joey removes his shirt and sunglasses before the referee calls for the bell.
Jack and Joey circle the ring, they stare each other down as the two of them lock up, they try to battle strength, but Joey gets the best of Jack as Joey falls back tossing Jack over and Jack lands on his back, can’t believe that Joey got the best of him, Joey just shrugs and Jack is shown to be a little annoyed. Jack is a bit annoyed and is back to his feet as Joey taunts him and tells Jack to come back for more.
Joey continues to get the best of Jack Swagger, who was slowly seen getting annoyed, but trying to maintain his composure. Things take a turn when Joey tries to go for the suplex and Jack manages to reverse it and finally take control of the match. Jack shows of impressive holds and wrestling submission, displaying his amateur wrestling background. Joey tries to escape the holds, but Jack manages to keep control of the match. Jack feels as if he has control of everything and delivers the Angle slam and goes for the cover. But Joey barely kicks out and tries to crawl away, as Jack stands over him. Jack lowers the straps of his wrestling tights and gets ready to end the match. Jack grabs Joey’s leg and locks in the ankle lock, Joey could be heard screaming in agony, as he tries to reach for the ropes, while Jack continues to tighten the hold. The referee checks on Joey, who is crawling, trying to grab the ropes until he eventually does and Jack takes his time before releasing the hold. Joey favors his ankle as Jack heads towards him to lift Joey off the floor, but Joey quickly goes for the thumb to the eye of Jack, who stumbles a bit, holding his face, as the referee check on him, Joey quickly crawls towards Jack, grabs a hold of Jack’s tights, pulls him back and rolls Jack into a pin as Jack’s shoulders are down and the referee goes for the count, Joey’s handful of tights out of sight.
Referee: 1…..2……3!!
Brad: Your winner!! Joey Ryan!!!
Joey quickly rolls out of the ring, limping, leaning against the barricade to stay on his feet as Jack looks on in disbelief and argues with the referee about his tights being grabbed and Joey cheating but the referee explains he didn’t see anything, while Joey slowly limps up the ramp.
Joey: The Joey Ryan way, when are you going to give in Jack, it’s the right way.
Joey taunts Jack, who is in the ring, furious with yet another loss, while they continue to exchange words as GFW Resurrection goes backstage where McKenzie Mitchell is seen with Eli Drake backstage.
McKenzie: Eli Drake, tonight you will be taking on GFW World Heavyweight Champion Ricky Steamboat Jr. Last Wednesday you got the best of him, aren’t you worried tonight he might come back with more determination to win?
Eli: That’s sweet, to be able to win he has to be better than me, and well, last Wednesday I proved to him I’m better than him, because I’m Eeee Liii Drake, the best there is now, and everyone knows that. I hope you’re ready McKenzie, ready for the Eli Drake era because after tonight it will be a brand new era here in GFW and that’s what’s going to happen tonight McKenzie, you just wait.
Eli said with a smirk on his face as he walked off and GFW Resurrection moves back to the in ring area.
Match #2 The Real Horsewomen of Wrestling vs. Santana Garret & Taryn Terrell
VS.
Santana Garrett’s theme plays as Santana makes her way out to the ring, the crowd cheers her on and Santana skips down the ring, greeting the crowd and slides into the ring as she climbs onto the turnbuckle and points at the crowd before jumping off of the turnbuckle and stands in the ring, awaiting her tag partner.
Next up was Taryn Terrell, who strikes a pose at the top of the ramp and Taryn makes her way down the rimp, up the steps and enters the ring as she strikes a pose in the middle of the ring, before acknowledges her tag partner, Taryn and Santana hug in the ring as they stand to the ring, talking strategy while they await their opponents.
A loud chorus of boo’s could be heard the moment the theme of The Real Horsewomen of wrestling plays and the two confidently make their way out to the ring. Rachael and Tessa stand at the top of the ramp, lifting their hands in the air and the crowd doesn’t cheer them on, as the ignore them and makes their way down the ramp, ignoring the crowd members who is trying to get their attention. Rachael and Tessa enters the ring and stands in the center of the ring and once again strikes a pose for the crowd and they boo and Tessa and Rachael get ready, while Taryn and Santana continue to talk strategy.
Tessa and Taryn decide to start things off, as the two lock up in the ring, Santana is on the apron trying to get the crowd involved, while Rachael is giving Tessa orders. Tessa tries to battle strength with Taryn but Taryn gets the best of Tessa sending her down to the canvas, Tessa looks on shocked as she quickly crawls away towards Rachael and tags her in, who walks in the ring all cocky, while Tessa slips out of the ring. Taryn charges towards Rachael but is taken down by a vicious clothesline by Rachael.
Rachael quickly takes control of the match, putting Taryn in a hold as she tries to break the hold. Rachael continues to dominate Taryn, while Tessa is on the outside barking orders and taunting Taryn. Rachael continues with vicious strikes and various submission holds, while Santana tries to get the crowd involved. Taryn manages to break out of the hold and manages to crawl into the corner and tags in Santana. Santana rushes in and takes out Rachael, Rachael falls to the floor and Santana quickly heads in the opposing corner to take out Tessa, who is elbowed off of the apron.
Santana turns her attention back to Rachael, goes for the chop to the chest and irish whips Rachael into the corner, Santana goes for the handspring elbow, Rachael falls to the floor, Santana goes for the pin but Rachael kicks out, Santana continues with the offence on Rachael who can’t seem to get in the corner to tag in Tessa, while Taryn is in the corner recovering.
It seemed like Santana had control of the match, but as she ran into the corner and hit the ropes, she is kneed in the back by Tessa who was on the outside, Santana falls to the floor favoring her back as Rachael slowly recovers and gets to her feet and lifts Santana off the floor and goes for the back breaker, as Santana rolls around the ring, favoring her back. Tessa is tagged in and Tessa continues the vicious attack on Santana, Tessa and Rachael continue the attack on Santana making frequent tags, while Taryn tries to get into the match, but the referee holds her back and Tessa and Rachael continue the double team attacks on Santana, while the referee tries to keep Taryn in her corner and from interfering in the match.
Rachael and Tessa continue to dominate Santana, until she manages to turn things around, Santana is about to make the tag to Taryn, but Rachael pulls Taryn off the ring apron and Taryn falls to the floor, hitting her face against the apron as Tessa lifts Santana to her feet, Tessa then delivers the Diving double knee face breaker, which she names the Magnum, as she goes for the pin, while Rachael holds Taryn from entering the ring.
Referee: 1….2….3!!!
Brad: Your winners!! The Real Horsewomen of wrestling… Rachael Ellering and Tessa Blanchard!!!!
Rachael releases Taryn, who slides into the ring to check on Santana as Tessa rolls out the ring and Tessa and Rachael celebrate while making their way up the ramp, while Taryn checks on Santana, staring Tessa and Rachael down.
Lucky Cannon and Laurel van Ness was backstage as they could be seen arguing.
Lucky: Did you request this match? Because I don’t think it is fair having to wrestle this inspiring loser.
Laurel: No, I didn’t I promise babe, I just got the call from Karen that you will be wrestling David tonight, I thought it was my wedding planner I swear.
Lucky: Wedding planner?
Laurel: yes for our wedding, for when we get married.
Lucky: Oh yeah, uhm sure, okay, got my match next, let’s go.
Laurel: Yes babe.
Lucky and Laurel walk off for their match that will be on next.
Match # 3 Lucky Cannon vs. David Starr
VS.
The theme of the inspirational one David Starr plays as the crowd cheers and David Starr makes his way out and stands at the top of the ramp as he kisses his finger, before he pointing up at the sky and he makes his way down the ramp as he greets the crowd and slides into the ring before climbing onto the turnbuckle and points at the crowd before he jumps off the ring apron and stands in the ring awaiting his opponent for the next match.
Lucky Cannon’s theme plays and the crowd boo’s as he makes his way out of the ring, alongside Laurel van Ness, as the two of them stands at the top of the ramp, the moment Laurel stands in fronts of Lucky, he seems annoyed, he walks in front of her, reminds her to stand in the back of him as he continues to make his way down the ramp in his new fur coat, Lucky enters the ring, and stands in the middle of the ring, striking a pose for the crowd, and Laurel tries to pose next to him, but he orders her to get out of his spotlight as David could be seen shaking his head in disgust.
David annoyed by this, doesn’t wait for the bell and quickly charges towards Lucky and takes him out with an elbow to the back of the head. Lucky falls to the floor, as David mounts him with multiple shots to the back of the head as Laurel is seen worried, while Lucky tries to escape and manages to roll out of the ring, furious by David’s sneak attack, as he slowly removes his fur coat and tossed it towards Laurel who almost fell trying to catch it.
The referee calls for the bell and Lucky gets back in the ring and a brawl in the bring breaks out as Lucky tries to protect his face from being ruined by David. The two them continue to fight in the ring. David finally gets the upper hand in the ring, delivering different maneuvers and taking out his anger on Lucky because of the way he is treating Laurel. Laurel continues to cheer Lucky on at ringside. The two men battle until Lucky gets the clear upper hand. Once Lucky gets the upper hand, he uses different submission holds the keep David Down.
After dominating the match, David finally gets the upper hand after both men were down from a double clothesline. David delivers a variation of moves on Lucky, David was about to go for his finishing German Suplex, but Lucky instructs Laurel to get on the ring apron, as the referee is distracted by Laurel, who is confused, David releases the hold and Lucky falls to the floor and favoring his back and David tries to talk to Laurel, tell her to get down and be careful and how bad Lucky is treating her. Lucky lifts David and goes for the Lucky Break, he delivers his move and goes for the pin.
Referee: 1…..2…..3!!
Brad: Your winner…. Lucky Cannon!!!
Lucky slips out of the ring as Laurel looks confused after what David told her and Lucky just grabs her hand and pulls her towards the ramp as the celebrate and David slowly recovers favoring the back of his head as he looks on, while Lucky taunts him in the ring.
Johnny and Chelsea are seen backstage and Johnny seems very worried about his upcoming match. Chelsea is trying to calm him.
Chelsea: I’m sure it will be fine, you just need to avoid the dumpster and everything will be fine.
Johnny: Do you know what kind of filth there is in that dumpster? I can’t cleanse the GFW like that. It’s horrible, it’s pure disgust, Karen and angle, and that woman, that assistant of hers all their horrible idea.
Chelsea: It will be fine Johnny, I’m there I’ll have your back and I made sure to come with a bunch of cleanser to make sure your hands are cleane.
Johnny: I can’t believe this is happening to us. It’s just their hate for is, the world is not happy with us coming to cleanse the GFW that’s it.
Chelsea: Let’s go, we can do this.
Match #4 Johnny Curtis vs. Robbie E
VS.
A dumpster can be seen rolled down the ramp and placed at ringside for the upcoming match.
Robbie’s theme plays as Robbie makes his way down the ramp, the crowd cheers him on and he enters the ring, Robbie points at the dumpster and smiles as he stands in the ring and is stretching as he awaits his opponent.
Johnny’s theme place as Chelsea makes her way out, spraying the air and Johnny soon follows embracing the fresh air, as the two of them make their way down the ramp and enters the ring, while they look down at the ramp and stuck up their nose at the stench as Chelsea sprays the air around the ring and Johnny walks through the cloud of air and inhales it as Chelsea exits the ring and the referee calls for the bell.
Johnny and Robbie lock up in the ring and the match goes back and forth both men at one point has control of the match. Johnny rolls out of the ring and tries to recuperate, as Robbie tries to go for him, but Chelsea gets involved and Robbie couldn’t get him. Chelsea then uses the air freshener to spray in Robbie’s face who falls to the floor, covering his face. This is where Johnny gets control of the match. Johnny use different submission maneuvers to torture Robbie. Robbie is lifted to his feet and Johnny tells Chelsea to lift the lid of the dumpster, as she puts on gloves before she does and Johnny tries his best to toss Robbie but he manages to escapes.
Johnny continues his attack on Robbie, who is tossed against the ropes, Chelsea is on the outside cheering him on. Robbie manages to gain control of the match, delivering a fameasser and Johhny is down. Robbie drags Johnny towards the ropes as Robbie tries to toss Johnny into the dumpster but Chelsea got involved, Robbie threatens Chelsea who backs off and Robbie stands on the outside and goes for the suplex. Robbie lifts Johnny for the suplex and Chelsea once again got involved as she sprays Robbie again and Johnny is dropped but he falls into the dumpster and the lids both shut and the referee calls for the bell.
Brad: Your winner Robbie E!!!!
Robbie is still favoring his eyes, while Chelsea is shocked, since Johnny lost because of her interference. Chelsea heads towards the dumpster and tries to open the lid to check on Johnny as Robbie slowly got to his feet and is seen digging under the ring, Robbie pulls out an old milk carton, while Chelsea checks on Johnny, Robbie makes his way towards Chelsea and taps her on her shoulder as she turns around, as Chelsea wastes no time slapping Robbie, Robbie retaliates by pouring the sour milk over Chelsea who screams in horror and the crowd cheers on and Johnny is seen trying to get out of the dumpster to come at her aid, but is too late.
Robbie is done and tosses the milk carton, as he makes his way up the ramp, celebrating his victory and GFW Resurrection goes backstage.
Ricky Steamboat Jr. could be seen backstage with McKenzie Mitchell.
McKenzie: Ricky Steamboat Jr. Tonight you are battling Eli Drake in the main event. Last Wednesday he got the best of you, standing tall after your tag match, are you maybe worried your reign might be cut short by Eli’s recent success?
Ricky: Last Wednesday, he got the best of me yes, this time a whole lot more is on the table, the GFW World Heavyweight Championship is on the line, and I fought really hard to be champion and It’s going to take a lot to take it away from me. So tonight I’ll be giving it my all. So Eli Drake better be worried, and know he’s going to have to kill me to get this championship.
Ricky and McKenzie are suddenly interrupted by Alex Riley and The Fraternity.
Alex: McKenzie, McKenzie, why are you wasting your time with this temporary 15 minutes of fame guy, while you can be interviewing the future of wrestling The Fraternity.
Alex: Lord knows, this guy is already used to losing and has already fallen to the fraternity. How was it Ricky, losing to the Fraternity? Getting pinned, one, two, three, huh? I kind of want you to win, because it means I can beat you myself after my boys become Tag Team Champions. Good Luck Ricky, you’ll need it.
Alex and The Fraternity walk off leaving a confused Ricky and McKenzie as Ricky walks off to go prepare for his match, while McKenzie is left backstage and GFW Resurrection is back in the ring area.
Match #5 Baron Corbin vs. Mystery Opponent
VS.
Baron Corbin’s theme plays as the lone wolf makes his way out from backstage, Baron is at the top of the ramp as he makes his way down the ramp, he doesn’t say much, ignores the crowd, and he enters the ring and stands in the middle of the ring, awaiting his mystery opponent. The crowd and Baron eagerly awaits as an unfamiliar theme plays and the crowd finally sees who it is and the cheer.
Magnus makes his way out and the crowd can’t believe it, neither can Baron Corbin, but doesn’t bother too much. Magnus makes his way down the ramp and greets the crowd and he steps into the ring and he climbs onto the turnbuckle and points at the crowd and greets them.
Magnus is all of a sudden taken down by Baron Corbin, who elbows Magnus in the back and the referee checks on Magnus and Baron awaits the bell. Magnus agreed to continue the match as the referee calls for the bell. Baron wastes no time and goes for the attack on Magnus, as he continues to stomp on the fallen Magnus. The crowd continues to count and the match is already longer than all of Baron’s matches combined.
Magnus manages to escape and quickly gets the upper hand, but his little come back is all of a sudden comes to a half when Magnus runs into Baron and he delivers the End of Days and Baron goes for the pin.
Referee: 1….2…3!!
Brad: Your winner…… Baron Corbin!!!
Magnus is trying to brush off the loss, and recover as Baron celebrates his win, but looks at Magnus and Baron goes for the attack and continues to stomp on Magnus, as the referee tries to get involved and gets between them before Baron eventually stops and exits the ring as the referee checks on Magnus and Baron makes his way up the ramp.

Match #6 NexGen championship Match
TJ Perkins vs. Mark Andrews vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Trent Baretta vs. Jesse Sorenson
VS. VS. VS. VS.
Video Game like music plays and out comes the Ultimate gamer, TJ Perkins, as he poses for the crowd at the top of the ramp and he makes his way down the ramp. TJ greets the crowd and hops onto the ring apron before entering the ring and he looks up at the GFW NexGen Championship hanging above the ring.
Next out was Mark Andrews, who skates down the ramp on his skateboard before he stopping at the end of the ramp and Andrew carries his skateboard into the ring, when he enters the ring. Mark and TJ shake hands, as Mark looks at the crowd and points at them before pointing at the GFW NexGen championship hanging above the ring as the two await their opponents for the match.
Tyler Breeze’s theme plays as Prince Pretty makes his way out, selfie stick in hand, as he makes his way down the ramp, as he looks at himself in his phone and Tyler strikes a pose on the ring apron, taking a picture of himself, before he enters the ring and continues to stare at himself in his phone and ignoring his fellow competitor.
Theme song of the Trent Baretta as he makes his way out, the crowd cheering him on, and Trent stands at the top of the ramp, raised his hand in the air and he makes his way down the ramp, Trent is excited as he slides into the ring and has a little stare down with Tyler, before he hops onto the turnbuckle and greets the crowd and he hops back into the ring as they await the final competitor.
Jesse Sorenson’s theme plays and the last competitor in the ladder match makes his way down to the ring, Jesse is about to climb the steps, but is again distracted by the mystery woman at ringside. He winks at her, before entering the ring and Jesse strikes a pose in the ring, making sure the woman at ringside sees him, as he removes his letterman jacket and places it in the corner and the five men stand in the ring and they all look up at the belt hanging above the ring, as they await the bell.
The referee calls for the bell as Trent and Tyler waste no time going for each other and the other three competitors just look on as Trent and Tyler is in the middle of the ring exchanging blows, Jesse quickly slips out of the ring, while Mark and TJ look at each other, both men shrug and look at Tyler and Trent. Both TJ and Mark hit the ropes and make their way back towards Trent and Tyler and both men are taken out by drop kicks as Trent and Tyler roll out of the ring. Mark and TJ both nod as TJ runs towards the ropes and leaps over the top rope and takes out both Trent and Tyler with a flying cross body as Mark climbs onto the turnbuckle and looks down at the three men as they are trying to get to their feet, Mark then leaps off of the top turnbuckle and goes for the shoot star press and he lands on Tyler, TJ and Trent and all four men are taken out and are slowly recovering Jesse notices this, and looks at the ring. Jesse pulls a ladder from under the ring and slides it into the ring and sets it up in the and slowly starts to climb the ladder as Mark slowly climbs into the ring, Jesse almost makes quick work of the match but Jesse is pulled off the ladder and Mark and Jesse continue their battle in the ring.
As the match continues, all five men display high flying moves and as the crowd is completely into the match, while Mark and TJ maintain their alliance, while occasionally facing off. As the match proceeded, it seemed like Jesse once again had control of the match, but is taken out by Trent and the mystery woman at ringside looks on angered, Trent climbs the ladder and out of nowhere, the Mystery woman climbs over the barricade and slides into the ring and grabs Trent’s leg and prevents him from climbing and Trent tries his best not to fight her, but he manages to shove her away and the mystery woman falls to the floor and rolls out of the ring, and Jesse sees this and quickly goes to her aid, while TJ and Mark are still outside recovering, while Trent looks worried at the woman, out of nowhere Tyler jumps off the ropes on the opposite side of the ladder and Trent and Tyler could be seen climbing the ladder, both men start fighting at the top of the ladder, Tyler manages to take out Trent with a kick to the side of the head and Trent falls of the ladder and Tyler takes one more step and loosens the belt and retrieves the belt and wins the match.
Brad: Your winner and the new NextGen Champion Tyler Breeze!!!
Summer could be seen backstage on the phone, nodding in Karen’s office, as Karen walks in and Summer quickly puts away the phone.
Karen: Summer, I was looking for you. I have to say, tonight has been going so well. Don’t you think?
Summer: I know right? The show has been great and I’m sure you’re happy with that mystery opponent I arranged for Baron.
Karen: Oh yes, great choice, might have to make him a permanent part of the roster.
Summer: I know, I can talk to him if you like, see how he feels about GFW.
Karen: That would be great, thank you so much Summer, couldn’t have done all of this without your help. But you can talk to him tomorrow, right now, we can just sit back and enjoy the rest of the night.
Summer smiles and the two get comfortable and continue to enjoy the pay per view as the scene fades.

Match #7 The Fraternity vs. Von Erichs
VS
The Von Erich’s theme plays as Ross and Marshall make their way out, barefoot, and they make their way down the ramp, greeting the crowd, and the two men enter the ring and are hyping each other up in the ring, as they await their opponents.
The Fraternity’s theme is heard as Alex Riley, Channing Decker and Trent Gibbs make their way out, the three wearing matching jackets, and they walk down the ramp, the crowd booing them, as they ignore the crowd and the three men enter the ring and strike a pose in the middle of the ring, as they remove their jackets and place it into the side, as Alex exits the ring and stands at ringside, while Ross, Marshall and Channing, Trent await the bell for the match to start.
The bell rings and the Trent and Marshall lock up as the two of them battle in the ring, Marshall gets the quick upper hand, as Ross cheers him on, and Alex instructs Trent from ringside. Marshall and Ross work well as a team as they do good work of isolating Trent in their corner. This continues until Alex decides to get involved, distracting the referee and Channing takes out Ross, who had Trent in a submission allowing Trent a chance to get the tag, while Alex jumps off the ring apron and The Fraternity now has control of the match.
Because of Alex Riley’s distraction, Trent and Channing has control of the match and the two work over Ross, who struggles to tag in his tag partner. Trent and Channing isolates Ross in their corner, while he tries his best to tag in Marshall, Ross crawls towards the corner to tag in Marshall, and he manages to do so after a while, but this moment was ruined since the referee was too distracted with Channing in the corner and Alex takes out Channing by sending him in the barricade and tosses him in the ring, while the referee is seen arguing with Trent, who is being told he didn’t see the tag being made.
The match continues until Marshall is finally tagged in and he take sout everyone, but his hot tag is ruined by Alex Riley who grabs Marshall’s leg from the outside, Marshall turns his attention to Alex and grabs a hold of his hair and pulls Alex onto the ring apron, but Marshall is then taken out by Trent from the back, Marshall falls to the floor, and Trent calls for Channing, and Marshall is lifted off the canvas and Channing whips Marshall into the corner while Trent leaps off the top turnbuckle and takes out Marshall with a clothesline, in a maneuver they call “The Initiation” as Trent goes for the pin. Ross tries to crawl into the ring but Alex holds him by his leg.

Match #8 Eli Drake vs. Ricky Steamboat Jr.

Eli Drake theme plays as Eli makes his way out from backstage and Eli stands at the top of the ramp and strikes pose for the crowd as he makes his way down the ramp and Eli enters the ring and he climb onto the turnbuckle and strikes a pose again and the crowd booing him as he ignores them and he stands in the ring awaiting the champion.
Ricky Steamboat Jr.’s theme plays as Ricky makes his way out from backstage and he stands at the top of the ramp and lifts the championship in the air and the crowd cheers him on. Ricky greets the crowd and makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring and stands in the middle of the ring, championship in the air and he takes a final look at the championship before handing it over to the referee and the referee raises the championship and the two men stare at the championship, before staring at each other.
The referee calls for the bell and the two men quickly charge towards each other and the two men battle in the ring. Displaying strength and technical skills as each man takes control of the match and many near pin falls during the match. The men battle for over 15 minutes, the crowd into the match, as there is a lot of back and forth action.
The match eventually comes to an end, when Eli goes to deliver his finisher maneuver and Ricky manages to reverse it and goes for the Gory Neckbreaker and goes for the pinfall.

Ricky lays in the ring, catching his breath as he can’t believe how much he battled for the championship. The referee hands Ricky the championship as he struggles to his feet and lifts the championship in the air to the crowds delight as Eli rolls out of the ring, stumbling up the ramp, while Ricky Steamboat is in the ring celebrating his win as GFW Resurrection goes off the air.

Tom: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to GFW first ever live pay per view, Resurrection. I’m Tom Phillips and with me tonight is Mike Rome. Tonight we have three championship matches, where two brand new champions will be crowned and of course the GFW World Heavyweight Championship will be defended tonight in our main event.
Mike: That’s right Tom, Ricky Steamboat Jr. will be defending the GFW World Championship for the very first time. Number one contender Eli Drake has been calling Ricky’s win a fluke, could this be a one and done run for Ricky Steamboat Jr.?
Tom: Ricky has overcome so many odds, winning his qualifying match, then winning the fatal 4 way match to become champion. He’s been representing the GWF very well, but that could all come to an end tonight.
Mike: That’s right, Just five days ago, Eli Drake got the best of Ricky when he won the tag team match on Amped, could Eli Drake have a repeat victory and become the brand new GFW World Heavyweight Champion.
Match #1 Jack Swagger vs. Joey Ryan
VS.
“We The People” is heard through the arena as Jack Swagger makes his way out, Jack stands at the top of the ramp, hand over his chest as he looks out at the crowd who cheers him on. Jack smiles as he makes his way down the ramp, Jack enters the ring as he stretches and stands in the ring, awaiting his opponent in the ring, while the crowd awaits the in ring debut of Joey Ryan.
Joey Ryan’s theme plays as Joey makes his way out, mixed reactions from the crowd, as Joey, sunglasses on, his shirt open, comes down the ring, not too worried about his opponent who is standing in the ring waiting for him. Joey, completely chilled and taunting Jack a bit enters the ring, climbs onto the turnbuckle and greets the crowd as he jumps off of it and Joey removes his shirt and sunglasses before the referee calls for the bell.
Jack and Joey circle the ring, they stare each other down as the two of them lock up, they try to battle strength, but Joey gets the best of Jack as Joey falls back tossing Jack over and Jack lands on his back, can’t believe that Joey got the best of him, Joey just shrugs and Jack is shown to be a little annoyed. Jack is a bit annoyed and is back to his feet as Joey taunts him and tells Jack to come back for more.
Joey continues to get the best of Jack Swagger, who was slowly seen getting annoyed, but trying to maintain his composure. Things take a turn when Joey tries to go for the suplex and Jack manages to reverse it and finally take control of the match. Jack shows of impressive holds and wrestling submission, displaying his amateur wrestling background. Joey tries to escape the holds, but Jack manages to keep control of the match. Jack feels as if he has control of everything and delivers the Angle slam and goes for the cover. But Joey barely kicks out and tries to crawl away, as Jack stands over him. Jack lowers the straps of his wrestling tights and gets ready to end the match. Jack grabs Joey’s leg and locks in the ankle lock, Joey could be heard screaming in agony, as he tries to reach for the ropes, while Jack continues to tighten the hold. The referee checks on Joey, who is crawling, trying to grab the ropes until he eventually does and Jack takes his time before releasing the hold. Joey favors his ankle as Jack heads towards him to lift Joey off the floor, but Joey quickly goes for the thumb to the eye of Jack, who stumbles a bit, holding his face, as the referee check on him, Joey quickly crawls towards Jack, grabs a hold of Jack’s tights, pulls him back and rolls Jack into a pin as Jack’s shoulders are down and the referee goes for the count, Joey’s handful of tights out of sight.
Referee: 1…..2……3!!
Brad: Your winner!! Joey Ryan!!!
Joey quickly rolls out of the ring, limping, leaning against the barricade to stay on his feet as Jack looks on in disbelief and argues with the referee about his tights being grabbed and Joey cheating but the referee explains he didn’t see anything, while Joey slowly limps up the ramp.
Joey: The Joey Ryan way, when are you going to give in Jack, it’s the right way.
Joey taunts Jack, who is in the ring, furious with yet another loss, while they continue to exchange words as GFW Resurrection goes backstage where McKenzie Mitchell is seen with Eli Drake backstage.
McKenzie: Eli Drake, tonight you will be taking on GFW World Heavyweight Champion Ricky Steamboat Jr. Last Wednesday you got the best of him, aren’t you worried tonight he might come back with more determination to win?
Eli: That’s sweet, to be able to win he has to be better than me, and well, last Wednesday I proved to him I’m better than him, because I’m Eeee Liii Drake, the best there is now, and everyone knows that. I hope you’re ready McKenzie, ready for the Eli Drake era because after tonight it will be a brand new era here in GFW and that’s what’s going to happen tonight McKenzie, you just wait.
Eli said with a smirk on his face as he walked off and GFW Resurrection moves back to the in ring area.
Match #2 The Real Horsewomen of Wrestling vs. Santana Garret & Taryn Terrell
VS.
Santana Garrett’s theme plays as Santana makes her way out to the ring, the crowd cheers her on and Santana skips down the ring, greeting the crowd and slides into the ring as she climbs onto the turnbuckle and points at the crowd before jumping off of the turnbuckle and stands in the ring, awaiting her tag partner.
Next up was Taryn Terrell, who strikes a pose at the top of the ramp and Taryn makes her way down the rimp, up the steps and enters the ring as she strikes a pose in the middle of the ring, before acknowledges her tag partner, Taryn and Santana hug in the ring as they stand to the ring, talking strategy while they await their opponents.
A loud chorus of boo’s could be heard the moment the theme of The Real Horsewomen of wrestling plays and the two confidently make their way out to the ring. Rachael and Tessa stand at the top of the ramp, lifting their hands in the air and the crowd doesn’t cheer them on, as the ignore them and makes their way down the ramp, ignoring the crowd members who is trying to get their attention. Rachael and Tessa enters the ring and stands in the center of the ring and once again strikes a pose for the crowd and they boo and Tessa and Rachael get ready, while Taryn and Santana continue to talk strategy.
Tessa and Taryn decide to start things off, as the two lock up in the ring, Santana is on the apron trying to get the crowd involved, while Rachael is giving Tessa orders. Tessa tries to battle strength with Taryn but Taryn gets the best of Tessa sending her down to the canvas, Tessa looks on shocked as she quickly crawls away towards Rachael and tags her in, who walks in the ring all cocky, while Tessa slips out of the ring. Taryn charges towards Rachael but is taken down by a vicious clothesline by Rachael.
Rachael quickly takes control of the match, putting Taryn in a hold as she tries to break the hold. Rachael continues to dominate Taryn, while Tessa is on the outside barking orders and taunting Taryn. Rachael continues with vicious strikes and various submission holds, while Santana tries to get the crowd involved. Taryn manages to break out of the hold and manages to crawl into the corner and tags in Santana. Santana rushes in and takes out Rachael, Rachael falls to the floor and Santana quickly heads in the opposing corner to take out Tessa, who is elbowed off of the apron.
Santana turns her attention back to Rachael, goes for the chop to the chest and irish whips Rachael into the corner, Santana goes for the handspring elbow, Rachael falls to the floor, Santana goes for the pin but Rachael kicks out, Santana continues with the offence on Rachael who can’t seem to get in the corner to tag in Tessa, while Taryn is in the corner recovering.
It seemed like Santana had control of the match, but as she ran into the corner and hit the ropes, she is kneed in the back by Tessa who was on the outside, Santana falls to the floor favoring her back as Rachael slowly recovers and gets to her feet and lifts Santana off the floor and goes for the back breaker, as Santana rolls around the ring, favoring her back. Tessa is tagged in and Tessa continues the vicious attack on Santana, Tessa and Rachael continue the attack on Santana making frequent tags, while Taryn tries to get into the match, but the referee holds her back and Tessa and Rachael continue the double team attacks on Santana, while the referee tries to keep Taryn in her corner and from interfering in the match.
Rachael and Tessa continue to dominate Santana, until she manages to turn things around, Santana is about to make the tag to Taryn, but Rachael pulls Taryn off the ring apron and Taryn falls to the floor, hitting her face against the apron as Tessa lifts Santana to her feet, Tessa then delivers the Diving double knee face breaker, which she names the Magnum, as she goes for the pin, while Rachael holds Taryn from entering the ring.

Rachael releases Taryn, who slides into the ring to check on Santana as Tessa rolls out the ring and Tessa and Rachael celebrate while making their way up the ramp, while Taryn checks on Santana, staring Tessa and Rachael down.
Lucky Cannon and Laurel van Ness was backstage as they could be seen arguing.
Lucky: Did you request this match? Because I don’t think it is fair having to wrestle this inspiring loser.
Laurel: No, I didn’t I promise babe, I just got the call from Karen that you will be wrestling David tonight, I thought it was my wedding planner I swear.
Lucky: Wedding planner?
Laurel: yes for our wedding, for when we get married.
Lucky: Oh yeah, uhm sure, okay, got my match next, let’s go.
Laurel: Yes babe.
Lucky and Laurel walk off for their match that will be on next.
Match # 3 Lucky Cannon vs. David Starr
VS.
The theme of the inspirational one David Starr plays as the crowd cheers and David Starr makes his way out and stands at the top of the ramp as he kisses his finger, before he pointing up at the sky and he makes his way down the ramp as he greets the crowd and slides into the ring before climbing onto the turnbuckle and points at the crowd before he jumps off the ring apron and stands in the ring awaiting his opponent for the next match.
Lucky Cannon’s theme plays and the crowd boo’s as he makes his way out of the ring, alongside Laurel van Ness, as the two of them stands at the top of the ramp, the moment Laurel stands in fronts of Lucky, he seems annoyed, he walks in front of her, reminds her to stand in the back of him as he continues to make his way down the ramp in his new fur coat, Lucky enters the ring, and stands in the middle of the ring, striking a pose for the crowd, and Laurel tries to pose next to him, but he orders her to get out of his spotlight as David could be seen shaking his head in disgust.
David annoyed by this, doesn’t wait for the bell and quickly charges towards Lucky and takes him out with an elbow to the back of the head. Lucky falls to the floor, as David mounts him with multiple shots to the back of the head as Laurel is seen worried, while Lucky tries to escape and manages to roll out of the ring, furious by David’s sneak attack, as he slowly removes his fur coat and tossed it towards Laurel who almost fell trying to catch it.
The referee calls for the bell and Lucky gets back in the ring and a brawl in the bring breaks out as Lucky tries to protect his face from being ruined by David. The two them continue to fight in the ring. David finally gets the upper hand in the ring, delivering different maneuvers and taking out his anger on Lucky because of the way he is treating Laurel. Laurel continues to cheer Lucky on at ringside. The two men battle until Lucky gets the clear upper hand. Once Lucky gets the upper hand, he uses different submission holds the keep David Down.
After dominating the match, David finally gets the upper hand after both men were down from a double clothesline. David delivers a variation of moves on Lucky, David was about to go for his finishing German Suplex, but Lucky instructs Laurel to get on the ring apron, as the referee is distracted by Laurel, who is confused, David releases the hold and Lucky falls to the floor and favoring his back and David tries to talk to Laurel, tell her to get down and be careful and how bad Lucky is treating her. Lucky lifts David and goes for the Lucky Break, he delivers his move and goes for the pin.
Referee: 1…..2…..3!!
Brad: Your winner…. Lucky Cannon!!!
Lucky slips out of the ring as Laurel looks confused after what David told her and Lucky just grabs her hand and pulls her towards the ramp as the celebrate and David slowly recovers favoring the back of his head as he looks on, while Lucky taunts him in the ring.
Johnny and Chelsea are seen backstage and Johnny seems very worried about his upcoming match. Chelsea is trying to calm him.
Chelsea: I’m sure it will be fine, you just need to avoid the dumpster and everything will be fine.
Johnny: Do you know what kind of filth there is in that dumpster? I can’t cleanse the GFW like that. It’s horrible, it’s pure disgust, Karen and angle, and that woman, that assistant of hers all their horrible idea.
Chelsea: It will be fine Johnny, I’m there I’ll have your back and I made sure to come with a bunch of cleanser to make sure your hands are cleane.
Johnny: I can’t believe this is happening to us. It’s just their hate for is, the world is not happy with us coming to cleanse the GFW that’s it.
Chelsea: Let’s go, we can do this.
Match #4 Johnny Curtis vs. Robbie E
VS.
A dumpster can be seen rolled down the ramp and placed at ringside for the upcoming match.
Robbie’s theme plays as Robbie makes his way down the ramp, the crowd cheers him on and he enters the ring, Robbie points at the dumpster and smiles as he stands in the ring and is stretching as he awaits his opponent.
Johnny’s theme place as Chelsea makes her way out, spraying the air and Johnny soon follows embracing the fresh air, as the two of them make their way down the ramp and enters the ring, while they look down at the ramp and stuck up their nose at the stench as Chelsea sprays the air around the ring and Johnny walks through the cloud of air and inhales it as Chelsea exits the ring and the referee calls for the bell.
Johnny and Robbie lock up in the ring and the match goes back and forth both men at one point has control of the match. Johnny rolls out of the ring and tries to recuperate, as Robbie tries to go for him, but Chelsea gets involved and Robbie couldn’t get him. Chelsea then uses the air freshener to spray in Robbie’s face who falls to the floor, covering his face. This is where Johnny gets control of the match. Johnny use different submission maneuvers to torture Robbie. Robbie is lifted to his feet and Johnny tells Chelsea to lift the lid of the dumpster, as she puts on gloves before she does and Johnny tries his best to toss Robbie but he manages to escapes.
Johnny continues his attack on Robbie, who is tossed against the ropes, Chelsea is on the outside cheering him on. Robbie manages to gain control of the match, delivering a fameasser and Johhny is down. Robbie drags Johnny towards the ropes as Robbie tries to toss Johnny into the dumpster but Chelsea got involved, Robbie threatens Chelsea who backs off and Robbie stands on the outside and goes for the suplex. Robbie lifts Johnny for the suplex and Chelsea once again got involved as she sprays Robbie again and Johnny is dropped but he falls into the dumpster and the lids both shut and the referee calls for the bell.
Brad: Your winner Robbie E!!!!
Robbie is still favoring his eyes, while Chelsea is shocked, since Johnny lost because of her interference. Chelsea heads towards the dumpster and tries to open the lid to check on Johnny as Robbie slowly got to his feet and is seen digging under the ring, Robbie pulls out an old milk carton, while Chelsea checks on Johnny, Robbie makes his way towards Chelsea and taps her on her shoulder as she turns around, as Chelsea wastes no time slapping Robbie, Robbie retaliates by pouring the sour milk over Chelsea who screams in horror and the crowd cheers on and Johnny is seen trying to get out of the dumpster to come at her aid, but is too late.
Robbie is done and tosses the milk carton, as he makes his way up the ramp, celebrating his victory and GFW Resurrection goes backstage.
Ricky Steamboat Jr. could be seen backstage with McKenzie Mitchell.
McKenzie: Ricky Steamboat Jr. Tonight you are battling Eli Drake in the main event. Last Wednesday he got the best of you, standing tall after your tag match, are you maybe worried your reign might be cut short by Eli’s recent success?
Ricky: Last Wednesday, he got the best of me yes, this time a whole lot more is on the table, the GFW World Heavyweight Championship is on the line, and I fought really hard to be champion and It’s going to take a lot to take it away from me. So tonight I’ll be giving it my all. So Eli Drake better be worried, and know he’s going to have to kill me to get this championship.
Ricky and McKenzie are suddenly interrupted by Alex Riley and The Fraternity.
Alex: McKenzie, McKenzie, why are you wasting your time with this temporary 15 minutes of fame guy, while you can be interviewing the future of wrestling The Fraternity.
Alex: Lord knows, this guy is already used to losing and has already fallen to the fraternity. How was it Ricky, losing to the Fraternity? Getting pinned, one, two, three, huh? I kind of want you to win, because it means I can beat you myself after my boys become Tag Team Champions. Good Luck Ricky, you’ll need it.
Alex and The Fraternity walk off leaving a confused Ricky and McKenzie as Ricky walks off to go prepare for his match, while McKenzie is left backstage and GFW Resurrection is back in the ring area.
Match #5 Baron Corbin vs. Mystery Opponent
VS.
Baron Corbin’s theme plays as the lone wolf makes his way out from backstage, Baron is at the top of the ramp as he makes his way down the ramp, he doesn’t say much, ignores the crowd, and he enters the ring and stands in the middle of the ring, awaiting his mystery opponent. The crowd and Baron eagerly awaits as an unfamiliar theme plays and the crowd finally sees who it is and the cheer.
Magnus makes his way out and the crowd can’t believe it, neither can Baron Corbin, but doesn’t bother too much. Magnus makes his way down the ramp and greets the crowd and he steps into the ring and he climbs onto the turnbuckle and points at the crowd and greets them.
Magnus is all of a sudden taken down by Baron Corbin, who elbows Magnus in the back and the referee checks on Magnus and Baron awaits the bell. Magnus agreed to continue the match as the referee calls for the bell. Baron wastes no time and goes for the attack on Magnus, as he continues to stomp on the fallen Magnus. The crowd continues to count and the match is already longer than all of Baron’s matches combined.
Magnus manages to escape and quickly gets the upper hand, but his little come back is all of a sudden comes to a half when Magnus runs into Baron and he delivers the End of Days and Baron goes for the pin.
Referee: 1….2…3!!
Brad: Your winner…… Baron Corbin!!!
Magnus is trying to brush off the loss, and recover as Baron celebrates his win, but looks at Magnus and Baron goes for the attack and continues to stomp on Magnus, as the referee tries to get involved and gets between them before Baron eventually stops and exits the ring as the referee checks on Magnus and Baron makes his way up the ramp.

TJ Perkins vs. Mark Andrews vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Trent Baretta vs. Jesse Sorenson
VS. VS. VS. VS.
Video Game like music plays and out comes the Ultimate gamer, TJ Perkins, as he poses for the crowd at the top of the ramp and he makes his way down the ramp. TJ greets the crowd and hops onto the ring apron before entering the ring and he looks up at the GFW NexGen Championship hanging above the ring.
Next out was Mark Andrews, who skates down the ramp on his skateboard before he stopping at the end of the ramp and Andrew carries his skateboard into the ring, when he enters the ring. Mark and TJ shake hands, as Mark looks at the crowd and points at them before pointing at the GFW NexGen championship hanging above the ring as the two await their opponents for the match.
Tyler Breeze’s theme plays as Prince Pretty makes his way out, selfie stick in hand, as he makes his way down the ramp, as he looks at himself in his phone and Tyler strikes a pose on the ring apron, taking a picture of himself, before he enters the ring and continues to stare at himself in his phone and ignoring his fellow competitor.
Theme song of the Trent Baretta as he makes his way out, the crowd cheering him on, and Trent stands at the top of the ramp, raised his hand in the air and he makes his way down the ramp, Trent is excited as he slides into the ring and has a little stare down with Tyler, before he hops onto the turnbuckle and greets the crowd and he hops back into the ring as they await the final competitor.
Jesse Sorenson’s theme plays and the last competitor in the ladder match makes his way down to the ring, Jesse is about to climb the steps, but is again distracted by the mystery woman at ringside. He winks at her, before entering the ring and Jesse strikes a pose in the ring, making sure the woman at ringside sees him, as he removes his letterman jacket and places it in the corner and the five men stand in the ring and they all look up at the belt hanging above the ring, as they await the bell.
The referee calls for the bell as Trent and Tyler waste no time going for each other and the other three competitors just look on as Trent and Tyler is in the middle of the ring exchanging blows, Jesse quickly slips out of the ring, while Mark and TJ look at each other, both men shrug and look at Tyler and Trent. Both TJ and Mark hit the ropes and make their way back towards Trent and Tyler and both men are taken out by drop kicks as Trent and Tyler roll out of the ring. Mark and TJ both nod as TJ runs towards the ropes and leaps over the top rope and takes out both Trent and Tyler with a flying cross body as Mark climbs onto the turnbuckle and looks down at the three men as they are trying to get to their feet, Mark then leaps off of the top turnbuckle and goes for the shoot star press and he lands on Tyler, TJ and Trent and all four men are taken out and are slowly recovering Jesse notices this, and looks at the ring. Jesse pulls a ladder from under the ring and slides it into the ring and sets it up in the and slowly starts to climb the ladder as Mark slowly climbs into the ring, Jesse almost makes quick work of the match but Jesse is pulled off the ladder and Mark and Jesse continue their battle in the ring.
As the match continues, all five men display high flying moves and as the crowd is completely into the match, while Mark and TJ maintain their alliance, while occasionally facing off. As the match proceeded, it seemed like Jesse once again had control of the match, but is taken out by Trent and the mystery woman at ringside looks on angered, Trent climbs the ladder and out of nowhere, the Mystery woman climbs over the barricade and slides into the ring and grabs Trent’s leg and prevents him from climbing and Trent tries his best not to fight her, but he manages to shove her away and the mystery woman falls to the floor and rolls out of the ring, and Jesse sees this and quickly goes to her aid, while TJ and Mark are still outside recovering, while Trent looks worried at the woman, out of nowhere Tyler jumps off the ropes on the opposite side of the ladder and Trent and Tyler could be seen climbing the ladder, both men start fighting at the top of the ladder, Tyler manages to take out Trent with a kick to the side of the head and Trent falls of the ladder and Tyler takes one more step and loosens the belt and retrieves the belt and wins the match.

Summer could be seen backstage on the phone, nodding in Karen’s office, as Karen walks in and Summer quickly puts away the phone.
Karen: Summer, I was looking for you. I have to say, tonight has been going so well. Don’t you think?
Summer: I know right? The show has been great and I’m sure you’re happy with that mystery opponent I arranged for Baron.
Karen: Oh yes, great choice, might have to make him a permanent part of the roster.
Summer: I know, I can talk to him if you like, see how he feels about GFW.
Karen: That would be great, thank you so much Summer, couldn’t have done all of this without your help. But you can talk to him tomorrow, right now, we can just sit back and enjoy the rest of the night.
Summer smiles and the two get comfortable and continue to enjoy the pay per view as the scene fades.

Match #7 The Fraternity vs. Von Erichs
VS
The Von Erich’s theme plays as Ross and Marshall make their way out, barefoot, and they make their way down the ramp, greeting the crowd, and the two men enter the ring and are hyping each other up in the ring, as they await their opponents.
The Fraternity’s theme is heard as Alex Riley, Channing Decker and Trent Gibbs make their way out, the three wearing matching jackets, and they walk down the ramp, the crowd booing them, as they ignore the crowd and the three men enter the ring and strike a pose in the middle of the ring, as they remove their jackets and place it into the side, as Alex exits the ring and stands at ringside, while Ross, Marshall and Channing, Trent await the bell for the match to start.
The bell rings and the Trent and Marshall lock up as the two of them battle in the ring, Marshall gets the quick upper hand, as Ross cheers him on, and Alex instructs Trent from ringside. Marshall and Ross work well as a team as they do good work of isolating Trent in their corner. This continues until Alex decides to get involved, distracting the referee and Channing takes out Ross, who had Trent in a submission allowing Trent a chance to get the tag, while Alex jumps off the ring apron and The Fraternity now has control of the match.
Because of Alex Riley’s distraction, Trent and Channing has control of the match and the two work over Ross, who struggles to tag in his tag partner. Trent and Channing isolates Ross in their corner, while he tries his best to tag in Marshall, Ross crawls towards the corner to tag in Marshall, and he manages to do so after a while, but this moment was ruined since the referee was too distracted with Channing in the corner and Alex takes out Channing by sending him in the barricade and tosses him in the ring, while the referee is seen arguing with Trent, who is being told he didn’t see the tag being made.
The match continues until Marshall is finally tagged in and he take sout everyone, but his hot tag is ruined by Alex Riley who grabs Marshall’s leg from the outside, Marshall turns his attention to Alex and grabs a hold of his hair and pulls Alex onto the ring apron, but Marshall is then taken out by Trent from the back, Marshall falls to the floor, and Trent calls for Channing, and Marshall is lifted off the canvas and Channing whips Marshall into the corner while Trent leaps off the top turnbuckle and takes out Marshall with a clothesline, in a maneuver they call “The Initiation” as Trent goes for the pin. Ross tries to crawl into the ring but Alex holds him by his leg.
Referee: 1….2…3!!
Brad: Here are your winners and new GFW Tag Team Champions!!! Channing Decker and Trent Gibbs, The Fraternity!!!
A video Package of Ricky Steamboat Jr. is shown about how he became champion and various clips of Ricky and his Dad highlighting both their careers, and it soon followed by clips showing Eli Drake becoming number one contender and how the match came to be.
Match #8 Eli Drake vs. Ricky Steamboat Jr.
VS.
Eli Drake theme plays as Eli makes his way out from backstage and Eli stands at the top of the ramp and strikes pose for the crowd as he makes his way down the ramp and Eli enters the ring and he climb onto the turnbuckle and strikes a pose again and the crowd booing him as he ignores them and he stands in the ring awaiting the champion.
Ricky Steamboat Jr.’s theme plays as Ricky makes his way out from backstage and he stands at the top of the ramp and lifts the championship in the air and the crowd cheers him on. Ricky greets the crowd and makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring and stands in the middle of the ring, championship in the air and he takes a final look at the championship before handing it over to the referee and the referee raises the championship and the two men stare at the championship, before staring at each other.
The referee calls for the bell and the two men quickly charge towards each other and the two men battle in the ring. Displaying strength and technical skills as each man takes control of the match and many near pin falls during the match. The men battle for over 15 minutes, the crowd into the match, as there is a lot of back and forth action.
The match eventually comes to an end, when Eli goes to deliver his finisher maneuver and Ricky manages to reverse it and goes for the Gory Neckbreaker and goes for the pinfall.
Referee: One two three!!!!

Ricky lays in the ring, catching his breath as he can’t believe how much he battled for the championship. The referee hands Ricky the championship as he struggles to his feet and lifts the championship in the air to the crowds delight as Eli rolls out of the ring, stumbling up the ramp, while Ricky Steamboat is in the ring celebrating his win as GFW Resurrection goes off the air.
