• Show News
o WCW Nitro
The show started with Shawn Michaels touting his win at Clash of Champions. Both AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan interrupted him claiming to be #1 contender. This set up a nice main event between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan. The show goes from comedy to seriousness very well and has an entertaining feel. Matches with Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn and Trish Stratus satiate the fans need for wrestling, while segments with Jericho and Edge and Christian (curiously all Canadian) are silly and goofy, but still work. A huge pop was given when Goldberg was announced in a match against Randy Orton at The Great American Bash. Overall, the show was a success and shows promise for the upcoming shows and PPV.
• New Territory
o NWA
Jim Cornette has recently acquired the NWA, and has begun signing new wrestlers, including Hulk Hogan, Mr. Perfect, Sting and the Outsiders. He has announced his weekly show, titled NWA Main Event. With a GM expected to be announced at the inaugural taping of NWA Main Event, and champions to be crowned, a lot of news should arise from this Territory in the coming days.
• Breaking News:
o TWN has learned that RoH’s own Brock Lesnar has given Eric Bischoff notice. Brock Lesnar is reportedly not happy with any ideas creative has presented him. There have been reports of Lesnar threatening to walk out of the company if his demands aren’t met. RoH GM Eric Bischoff has been in meetings for the last couple days in efforts to make changes that will benefit both parties or risk losing the main event superstar.
o Tommy Dreamer has lobbied to push younger talent over more experienced veterans in an effort of longevity for the company. Rumors are that Lesnar was asked to be put in a short feud against Brawn Stroman, asked to lose against the big man. Lesnar felt as though this was diminishing him as a top superstar. Reports indicate that Lesnar would prefer to be working against faces such as Nakamura, Rollins or Balor
• Other news
